(2) Writing has been gift to me. I had fifty years teaching in three countries, the US, England, and the Soviet Union. I taught mostly eighth graders, much of it in public schools and eight years in a private school. I also taught teachers for twelve years. I would still be in the classroom, but I had my turn. The writing has saved me from feeling stranded in a desert. My most recent effort is a 50,000 word manuscript addressed to teachers. I describe fifty episodes in my teaching life. Inside each, I address today’s teachers offering ideas and hope in these stressful times––especially for public school teachers. Check out my first five books at “Books” on the menu.
