Frank Thoms, Teacher in the Rye

Public school teachers are the backbone of the country. They are faced with their proverbial low salaries, decreasing public funds being diverted to private and religious schooling, and to outrageous threats from the right. Public support of classroom teachers enables them to be at forefront of preserving our democracy. (Since the election, this is my mission more than ever. It’s what I can do, what I’m compelled to do.
